Crofter’s is an interesting beast, not only because it features a bear in its identity but because it has positioned its flavours as being from around the world. It may well be the first range of superfruit spreads, which are basically preserves, but these have been blended to create anti-oxidant rich products high in vitamins.
Unusually, the range consists of South American flavours of maqui berries and passionfruit blended with red grapes and morello cherries with the North American blend of blueberries and cranberries. The two additional products focus on Asian flavours of yumberries and raspberries and European pomegranates and black currants. Functional foods are out there in abundance, but none quite like this – just one tablespoon provides 50% of your daily dose of vitamin C for only 30 calories!
At the moment these interesting little jars are only available in the US and Canada but the range looks like it is born to travel so keep a look out!
